There are 3 airports close to Milan: Malpensa, Linate and Orio al Serio.

Malpensa is the biggest hub in Northern Italy and has destinations towards EU and other continents. Linate is the closest to the city and the 3rd for number of passengers.

Orio al Serio is the base of the main low-cost airlines, such as Ryanair .

For each airport there are several options to get to the city center, plus the taxi choice which works for them all.

-    From Malpensa, there are several buses, such as MalpensaShuttle, Terravision etc whose prices are around 8-10€, taking 45 mins.

There’s also MalpensaExpress train (13€, 1-way), which takes 30 mins to Cadorna and 50 to Milan Central Station.

Both of them reach Milan Central Station and Cadorna, from where it will be easy to reach every spot in Milan by subway.

-    From Milan Orio al Serio the main option are buses (Orio Shuttle, Terravision) with prices going around 4-5€. It will take around 50 mins.

-    From Linate there’s an urban bus (73) which will leave you in San Babila - 5 mins walking from Duomo (Price: 1,50€).

The main railway station in Milan is the Stazione Centrale, Piazza Duca d'Aosta, is run by Trenitalia. Out of the station you can find the green and the yellow underground lines (M2,M3) and other transport means.

The Milan Porta Garibaldi Station is a major station in the city of Milan, located just to the north of the neighbourhood known as Porta Garibaldi (formerly Porta Comasina and a gate in a former wall of Milan), in the Piazza Sigmund Freud. The station is run by Ferrovie Nord di Milano.

The underground part of the station is located on the Passante railway. Lines S1, S2, S5, S6 and S10 of the railway stop there. You can also find the green underground line (M2).

Milano Cadorna is a commuter railway station located near the Castello Sforzesco in Milan. Run by Ferrovie Nord, it connects the city of Milan with the suburbs and with smaller cities like: Varese, Como, Novara, Brescia and some more.
